Kendra's Comments: One of the things I love about mysteries is how they can be really very silly and still have you on the edge of your seat. I listened to Agatha Raisin and the Wizard of Evesham and had a fun time with it. This was my first M.C. Beaton book. The premise is that a funny older widow (Agatha) is an amateur detective and always seems to find herself in the middle of trouble. This time she needs to have her hair done, and goes to a new salon. She is astonished at how gorgeous the stylist is, and is baffled by how all the customers open up and tell him their deep, personal secrets. While in the bathroom, Agatha then overhears someone making terrible threats to another person. All this seems a bit odd, but then once Agatha’s hair is done and is asked out on a date by the handsome stylist, she is willing to forget all the oddities. That is until people start dying. This is a fun, easy read. If you like audio books – this one is a hoot with the distinct British accent of the reader. Check Status at GPL
