Kendra's Comments: I personally think that everyone has their own methods of coping with stress in their life. In Eat Cake, Ruth deals with life by visualizing herself in the center of a bunt cake. This may seem strange, but I really related to this – since my stress coping mechanisms include baking bread and taking bubble baths. This aside, the story also hits on the core of love and patience and trying to do the right thing, when the “right” thing isn’t always so clear. This really resonated with me on a few levels, and I was immersed in the story from the start. Not a particularly uplifting story, but one with a lot of heart. Check Status at GPL
