The Time Traveler’s Wife by Audrey Niffenegger

Kendra's Comments: What if a man had an abnormal chromosome issue which caused him to travel in time? Henry never knew when he would travel or where he would end up. He would just wind up somewhere, either in his past or in his future without any clothes and often in dangerous situations. Henry’s one salvation was the love he shared with his wife. This emotional book is both beautiful, heart wrenching and funny. Literally, one minute I was crying and the next was deeply moved by the expressions of love shared by the two main characters, Clare and Henry. They deal with common issues that many couples have to face such as dealing with crazy family members, but they also have this element of Henry always leaving at inopportune moments. There is a lot to think about with this book, and it isn’t exactly a happy read, but I am glad I ventured into this thought-provoking book. While many out there have classified it as slightly science fiction, it’s much closer to a love story with a little fantastical element to it. Check Status at GPL
