Compelling Evidence by Steve Martini

Compelling Evidence is a legal thriller worth checking out. Ben Potter is a successful attorney about to be appointed to the Supreme Court. While wrapping up details before leaving for Washington, he is mysteriously found dead. Defense attorney Paul Madriani finds himself defending the accused who is his former lover. The victim also happens to be Paul’s former friend and employer. Paul finds himself in a difficult position and finds he must solve the case as much for his own personal reasons as professional ones. Political and romantic details fill the gaps between dramatic courtroom scenes. This is a wonderful read if you are addicted to John Grisham's legal suspense novels, but have read them all. The characters were well defined and the plot twists kept me guessing. Check out Steve Martini's website for author information and additional details about the book.
